SASE OpsLab Ltd Appoints Cybersecurity Veteran Franck Burtin as Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Global SASE Automation Expansion

LONDON, Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SASE OpsLab Ltd, the software-driven SASE automation and orchestration platform company, today announced the appointment of Franck Burtin as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). With over 30 years in IT and cybersecurity, Mr. Burtin joins the London-based venture to scale its global commercial footprint, accelerate adoption of its “OpsKit” catalog, and lead sales strategy across key international markets.

The hiring comes amid strong momentum for SASE OpsLab Ltd, as organizations navigating migrations from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-native Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) models face growing operational complexity. SASE OpsLab addresses this by replacing risky manual configurations with production-grade automation kits.

Mr. Burtin most recently served as Director General (CEO) at SNS Security, where he structured enterprise service offerings, built ecosystem partnerships, and scaled commercial operations. He previously held leadership roles at global distributor Exclusive Networks.

“Deploying and managing a SASE architecture is an immense operational hurdle for enterprises due to multi-vendor environments and fragmented legacy configurations,” said Franck Burtin. “SASE OpsLab transforms these obstacles into automated, turnkey solutions. I look forward to expanding our commercial ecosystem to help more partners and enterprises unlock frictionless SASE rollouts.”

Under Mr. Burtin’s leadership, SASE OpsLab will continue expanding its vendor-agnostic automation framework, which integrates with leading security and networking solutions—including Netskope, Zscaler, Fortinet, Cato Networks, and Cisco. His immediate focus includes expanding the enterprise pipeline and driving regional sales recruitment across EMEA.

“Franck’s technical understanding of cyber infrastructure and proven track record scaling high-growth security companies make him the perfect fit,” said Nabil Lawrence Souli, CEO of SASE OpsLab Ltd. “His leadership will be instrumental in positioning SASE OpsLab as the standard framework for global SASE orchestration.”

About SASE OpsLab Ltd

SASE OpsLab Ltd is an automation marketplace for prepackaged deployment and migration use cases, built to simplify and scale SASE operations. Headquartered in London, the company provides ready-to-use “Ops Kits” enabling customers, resellers, and vendors to accelerate rollouts, streamline migrations, and reduce operational risk. The relief effort began on 19 August, with the PU Prime team sourcing essential items across Bogotá to address immediate needs identified in the affected community.

  • PU Prime responds to the magnitude 7.4 earthquake with emergency relief support in Chocó.
  • 34 families receive essential supplies, including support for 14 families with babies.
  • The initiative is delivered through the PU Prime Dream Fund and ABACO.

BOGOTÁ, Colombia, Sept. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck western Colombia, PU Prime has mobilised emergency relief supplies for affected communities in Chocó, where access to assistance remains challenging.

Through the PU Prime Dream Fund, the company’s Colombia team sourced and prepared essential supplies, including baby care products, hygiene items, and sleeping materials. The contribution was handed over through ABACO – Asociación de Bancos de Alimentos de Colombia for onward delivery to the Wounaan community of Pichimá, in the municipality of Litoral del San Juan.

PU Prime Mobilises Earthquake Relief Efforts for Affected Community in Chocó, Colombia

Following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck western Colombia, PU Prime has mobilised emergency relief supplies for affected communities in Chocó.

“People had lost their homes, and some families were spending the night outdoors, so we focused on items that could be used immediately—a sleeping mat, a blanket, hygiene essentials, and supplies for babies,” said Ms. Doris Rodríguez, Corporate Relations Manager at Banco de Alimentos de Bogotá ABACO“This was a modest contribution in the context of a much larger emergency, but everyone involved wanted to make sure the supplies were prepared properly and placed in the hands of a partner that could take them where they were needed.”

From Bogotá, ABACO coordinated the onward movement of the supplies to Quibdó, where they are currently awaiting the final leg of the journey to Pichimá, Litoral de San Juan. With access to the remote community dependent on limited local transport connections, arrangements for the final leg are currently underway.

The Wounaan community of Pichimá is located in a remote area of Chocó that can only be reached through a combination of land and river transport. The impact of the earthquake is not always immediately visible from a distance, as wooden homes can appear structurally intact while closer inspection reveals missing roofs, damaged supports, and interiors exposed to the elements.

PU Prime would like to express its deepest sympathies to all those affected by the earthquake and stands with the people of Colombia during this difficult time. Through the PU Prime Dream Fund, the company supports community initiatives that create meaningful opportunities and provide practical support where it is needed. In Colombia, this response reflects that commitment by helping address immediate needs following the earthquake.

Curia Celebrates Expansion of Albuquerque Facility with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

ALBANY, N.Y., Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Curia Global, Inc. (Curia), a leading global research, development and manufacturing organization, today announced the grand opening of its expanded campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Company leaders hosted federal, state and local officials at a ribbon-cutting ceremony, including John Knox, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller.

Curia’s expanded Albuquerque campus specializes in aseptic fill-finish and lyophilization services, which are complemented by automated visual inspection and packaging technologies. The $200 million investment added 70,000 square feet to the facility’s 200,000 square foot manufacturing footprint, creating space to house two new isolated filling lines—a VarioSys® flexible filling line that supports syringes, cartridges and vials as well as a high-speed vial line that can handle 1,000 L batch sizes while filling at a speed up to 400 vials per minute. These capabilities are further supported by the facility’s Sterile University™, a first-of-its-kind sterile manufacturing training program.

“Customers increasingly need reliable domestic manufacturing capacity for critical injectable vaccines and medicines,” said Philip Macnabb, CEO of Curia. “The reality is that building the infrastructure to onshore drug product manufacturing is a complex undertaking that takes years to complete and requires significant investment, so I’m proud to say that we have done the work and are ready to deliver on that need today. With this expansion, we can provide increased capacity and advanced technology at an established facility that has a 40-year history as a center of excellence for sterile drug product manufacturing.”

The expansion was supported through cooperative agreement IDSEP230064 with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of ASPR within HHS, in coordination with the Department of War’s Capability Program Executive for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense. The collaboration is intended to strengthen domestic production capacity for injectable medicines. The State of New Mexico also supported the project through assistance from the Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) job creation fund.

The expansion strengthens Curia’s global network of sterile fill-finish facilities providing critical clinical and commercial manufacturing that serve urgent patient and public health needs.

AI-Media Puts Multilingual AI at the Heart of the Broadcast Workflow at IBC2026

New LEXI Encoders, expanded LEXI Suite, LEXI Direct and partner integrations bring scalable AI-powered language capabilities into broadcast workflows

AI-Media Attending IBC 2026 – Booth 5.C34
AI-Media Puts Multilingual AI at the Heart of the Broadcast Workflow at IBC2026. New LEXI Encoders, expanded LEXI Suite, LEXI Direct and partner integrations bring scalable AI-powered language capabilities into broadcast workflows.

AMSTERDAM, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AI-Media (ASX: AIM), a global leader in AI-powered language and accessibility solutions, will showcase its latest advances in multilingual AI at IBC2026, demonstrating how broadcasters and media organisations can caption, translate, voice and localise content at scale across live and recorded workflows.

At Booth 5.C34, AI-Media will showcase the complete LEXI Suite, two new LEXI Encoders, LEXI Direct and an expanding ecosystem of technology integrations, alongside innovations in development that point to new ways audiences can experience multilingual content.

“As broadcasters look to reach increasingly global and multilingual audiences, language is becoming a critical part of the media technology stack,” said Tony Abrahams, CEO of AI-Media. “What differentiates AI-Media is our ability to bring together a comprehensive AI language platform, broadcast-grade infrastructure and deep integration across the media ecosystem. Whether customers connect through our encoders, directly to LEXI or through the technology platforms they already use, we’re making it easier to deploy multilingual capabilities at scale.”

The Complete LEXI Suite

At the centre of AI-Media’s IBC presence is the LEXI Suite, spanning LEXI Text for real-time AI captioning, LEXI Translate for multilingual captions, LEXI Voice for AI-powered multilingual voice, LEXI AD for audio description and LEXI Recorded for captioning, translation and localisation of recorded content.

Together, the LEXI Suite provides broadcasters with a scalable platform for applying AI-powered language and accessibility capabilities across live and recorded content.

Two New LEXI Encoders

Making their European debut at IBC2026 will be AI-Media’s new LEXI Text Encoder and LEXI Voice Encoder, purpose-built to bring AI-powered language capabilities into professional broadcast environments.

Supporting SDI, IP and ST 2110 workflows, the new encoders give broadcasters greater flexibility, through increased processing power, to deploy AI generated captioning, translation and multilingual voice within existing infrastructure while supporting the transition to next-generation IP-based production.

More Ways to Access LEXI

Beyond AI-Media’s own hardware, LEXI Direct provides direct, programmatic access to LEXI, enabling its AI-powered language capabilities to be integrated into third-party platforms, applications and workflows.

AI-Media is also expanding its European infrastructure, with EU-based data processing for LEXI planned to be available by January 2027. This will give European customers greater choice over where their data is processed and support organisations with data sovereignty and regional data residency requirements.

AI-Media is also strengthening its relationships across the media technology ecosystem, working with companies including NVIDIA, Akamai, Grass Valley, Techex, Amagi, Pebble, Vizrt, PlayBox Neo and NDI to give customers more ways to access LEXI through the technologies and workflows they already use.

What’s Next for LEXI

IBC visitors will also get an early look at innovations currently in development, including LEXI Link, a proof of concept that delivers live captions, translations and multilingual AI-generated audio directly to viewers’ devices, opening new possibilities for personalised language and accessibility experiences.

Adrian Britton, Head of Technical Sales – APAC, will present “LEXI Link: Personalising Live Sports with Real-Time Captions & Translation” on Sunday, 13 September at 16:00 on CE Stage 1, Hall 5 (5.G72).

AI-Media will exhibit at Booth 5.C34 at RAI Amsterdam from 11–14 September 2026.

CGTN:From desert to opportunity: China-Egypt ties deepen across sectors

BEIJING, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CGTN publishes an article highlighting how China-Egypt cooperation has grown beyond industrial projects to encompass broader economic and strategic ties. The article spotlights the Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, growing Egyptian agricultural exports to China and the broader significance of the two countries’ 70-year relationship.

A decade after China and Egypt launched the second phase of their joint economic and trade cooperation zone in the desert along the Suez Canal, the area has grown into an industrial cluster of nearly 200 companies, creating about 10,000 jobs and becoming a tangible example of how bilateral cooperation can translate into local development.

The China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone has attracted companies in building materials, petroleum equipment, electrical equipment and machinery, with cumulative investment exceeding $4.7 billion, according to the reports by People’s Daily. What was once undeveloped desert has become an industrial platform linking China’s Belt and Road Initiative with Egypt’s development strategy for the Suez Canal Corridor.

The transformation reflects a broader shift in China-Egypt ties, from individual infrastructure projects toward cooperation that connects investment, employment and markets. During talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping said the two countries should deepen cooperation and continue advancing the building of a China-Egypt community with a shared future.

New engine of local development

The Suez zone has increasingly moved beyond conventional manufacturing, with solar projects and an emerging circular economy pointing toward greener and lower-carbon development. The expansion into new sectors has also brought more direct benefits to Egypt’s economy and workforce.

Chinese-invested projects have helped strengthen Egypt’s power supply, with a solar park substation project providing about 16,000 gigawatt-hours of electricity since completion, while Chinese companies have trained local engineers and workers, with some Egyptian employees moving into technical and management positions. At a joint venture between China XD Electric and Egyptian-owned EGEMAC, local employees account for 97% of the workforce.

Such cooperation is part of a broader model of mutually beneficial development. In a signed article published in Egyptian media ahead of Xi’s visit, he said China and Egypt should “pursue mutual benefit and win-win cooperation and set a benchmark for joint development.”

Egyptian products find a growing market in China

The relationship is increasingly running in both directions, with Egyptian products gaining greater access to China’s large consumer market.

China’s trade with Egypt reached 95.19 billion yuan ($14.16 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, up 18.7% year on year, Chinese official data shows. Chinese exports to Egypt rose 17.5%, while imports from Egypt jumped 49.4%.

Agricultural trade has been a particular growth area. China’s imports of Egyptian agricultural products rose 82.6% in the first seven months, accounting for 41.7% of China’s total imports from Egypt. Egypt was China’s largest source of frozen strawberries and third-largest source of flax, with the two products accounting for 96.7% and 7.7% of China’s respective imports.

Egypt, one of the world’s leading orange exporters, shipped fresh oranges worth about $26 million to China in 2025. An agricultural exporter who travels to China several times a year said strong demand for Egyptian oranges among Chinese consumers has encouraged producers to improve quality.

In an article, Egypt’s Al-Ahram newspaper said China’s zero-tariff measures for African products had opened access to a market of more than 1.4 billion people, while noting that lower tariffs alone would not guarantee success. Product quality, stable supply and localized marketing would remain important for Egyptian companies seeking to expand in China, the newspaper said.

Beyond bilateral ties

The significance of the relationship goes beyond trade and investment as China and Egypt mark 70 years of diplomatic ties. Egypt was the first Arab and African country to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China, and the two countries have since expanded cooperation into culture, education, science and technology, health and other fields.

Xi has said China and Egypt set an example of friendship, solidarity and coordination between developing countries, noting that both are important members of the Global South.

Egypt’s position gives that partnership a wider regional dimension. As a major Arab and African country, it serves as a link between the Arab world and Africa, while China and Egypt coordinate in multilateral frameworks including the United Nations and BRICS.

At a time of persistent instability in the Middle East, Xi has also called for greater regional autonomy in security, comprehensive approaches to hotspot issues, development to underpin security and stronger international coordination.
