Vientiane:According to Lao News Agency, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone has extended congratulations to Chinese Premier Li Qiang in celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
In his message, sent on September 30, Prime Minister Sonexay conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Party, Government, and multi-ethnic people of the Lao PDR, as well as in his own name, to Premier Li and the leadership and people of China.
Prime Minister Sonexay expressed satisfaction with the ongoing progress in Laos-China cooperation, highlighting that the strategic guidance and leadership of both countries’ top leaders have led to strengthened bilateral relations. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for the long-term development of the comprehensive strategic partnership and the Laos-China Community with a Shared Future.
He emphasized the importance that the Lao PDR places on its cooperative relations with China and expressed his readiness to collaborate
closely with Premier Li to implement agreements reached by senior leaders of both nations. This includes outcomes from the June 5, 2026, meeting between the General Secretaries and Presidents of Laos and China in Beijing.
The Prime Minister also expressed his desire to visit China officially and meet with Premier Li soon. He wished for the health, happiness, and continued success of Chinese leaders and people in advancing China’s socialist modernization.
Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane sent a congratulatory message to Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, marking the occasion.
