Vientiane:The Made in Laos Trade Fair 2026 commenced at the Lao-ITECC exhibition center in Vientiane on October 5, featuring over 200 booths that showcase products made across the country.
According to Lao News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Santiphab Phomvihane, Minister of Industry and Commerce Malaythong Kommasith, and representatives from various government sectors, businesses, and invited guests.
The nine-day event, running from October 3-11, is organized by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the Huaphanh Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry co-hosting. The fair features 204 booths representing 17 provinces and 160 business units that display a variety of products, including handicrafts, textiles, agricultural and processed goods, food and beverages, and more.
Participants from Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Indonesia are also in attendance, providing opportunities for Lao businesses to engage with international partners and explore new market opportunities.
The fair includes business-matching sessions, seminars, technical exchanges, and promotional activities aimed at helping businesses connect with consumers, establish partnerships, expand exports, and decrease import dependency.
A special pavilion is dedicated to showcasing the culture, traditions, lifestyle, and tourism attractions of Huaphanh Province. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to businesses and organizations that contributed to the success of the fair.
