Vientiane:Laos and the Republic of Tatarstan are set to enhance their economic and cultural ties following recent high-level discussions. The talks concluded the official two-day visit of Tatarstan's delegation to Laos, which took place from November 4-5.

According to Lao News Agency, the delegation, led by Minnikhanov, was welcomed by Saleumxay, who expressed optimism that the visit would fortify the strategic partnership between Laos and the Russian Federation. The discussions are expected to pave the way for new opportunities in direct economic and cultural cooperation with Tatarstan.

During the meetings, both parties identified potential areas for growth, emphasizing trade, investment, education, and cultural exchanges. These efforts are aimed at creating stronger connections between local businesses and institutions.

Tatarstan, a republic of Russia situated in Eastern Europe, is part of the Volga Federal District. Its capital, Kazan, is recognized as a significant cultural hub within the Russian Federation.
