Joint Aviation Training Center Inaugurated by Laos and China


Ban Keun:Lao and Chinese officials have inaugurated the Joint Aviation Training and Support Center at Ban Keun Airport, alongside the Laos-China Friendship Aviation College. This event marks a significant advancement in military aviation cooperation between the two nations.



According to Lao News Agency, the ceremony took place on September 29 and was attended by General Khamlieng Outhakaysone, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of the Lao PDR, along with a delegation from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.



During the event, senior officials from both countries unveiled a commemorative stone plaque and delivered speeches. They emphasized the project as a practical outcome of Laos-China cooperation, underscoring principles of mutual respect, equality, and coordination.



The new center and college aim to support and enhance the training and practical skills of Lao military pilots. Additionally, the facilities are intended to bolster human resource development in aviation.



Both nations reiterated their commitment to expanding cooperation through joint training and exercises, human resource development, and humanitarian assistance. They also aim to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between their militaries, contributing to regional security and stability.
