Hanoi: The Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) has sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

According to Lao News Agency, the message highlighted major milestones in the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh and his contributions to the revolutionary struggle of the Vietnamese people and the three Indochinese countries. It noted his adoption and application of Marxism-Leninism in Indochina through the establishment of the Indochinese Communist Party, which served as the forerunner of both the CPV and the LPRP. The message emphasized his leadership in achieving national liberation and independence for the peoples of the three Indochinese countries.

The message also referred to President Ho Chi Minh's last wish that "nothing is more precious than independence and freedom," which inspired the Vietnamese people to achieve complete independence in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign on April 30, 1975. It highlighted the continued development of Vietnam into a prosperous nation.

The message noted that the Vietnamese revolutionary successes were a result of President Ho Chi Minh's guidance and the CPV's leadership. His ideology and revolutionary ethics have become a valuable asset for those striving for national independence and social progress.

Furthermore, the message acknowledged Vietnam's support for Laos in its own struggle for national liberation and ongoing development. It recognized the foundation laid by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Souphanouvong in building a strong Laos-Vietnam solidarity, which was pivotal in overcoming foreign invaders and remains significant in international relations.

The message concluded with the affirmation that President Ho Chi Minh's legacy endures in the revolutionary cause and the deep friendship and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
