Farmers in the northern province of Vinh Phuc are overjoyed with high yields from the 2023-2024 winter-spring rice crop, reporting a final output of over 180,000 tonnes, an increase of 2,900 tonnes as compared to the last year’s figure. The crop was planted on about 28,800 hectares, 240 hectares less as compared to the same period of last year but the rice yield was estimated at 63 quintals/ha, an increase of 1.5 quintals/ha.
