Mr Somkiet Keokenchan, a student at the Vientiane Secondary School, has won Korean Speech Contest 2023 held on May 26 as a side event of Korean Week 2023 in Vientiane (May 26-27).
Miss Latthida Senyavong, a student from Vientiane Secondary School, and Miss Soukphansa Haksaphone of Tanmixay Secondary School were announced as the second and third winners respectively.
The three award-winning students are expected to visit the Republic of Korea to attend the international version of Korean Speech Contest 2023.
The international contest allows contesters from around the world to show case their Korean language skills through expressing their thoughts, stories, and aspirations in Korean.
