Vientiane: President Thongloun Sisoulith on Aug. 6 received Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, during a courtesy call marking the Vietnamese delegation's official visit to Laos from Aug. 5-7. President Thongloun, who also serves as General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, welcomed the Vietnamese delegation and praised the successful bilateral meeting between the political departments of the Lao and Vietnamese armed forces.
According to Lao News Agency, President Thongloun expressed that the outcomes of the meeting would further enhance the friendship, solidarity, cooperation, and partnership between the two Parties, States, armies, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam. Nguyen Trong Nghia conveyed gratitude for the warm reception and outlined the objectives of the delegation's visit.
Nguyen Trong Nghia reaffirmed Vietnam's dedication to maintaining and strengthening the enduring relationship between Laos and Vietnam, ensuring that the bilateral ties continue to develop robustly.
