PBBM elated by Pinoys’ growing support for his admin

MANILA: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday expressed elation over Filipinos’ growing support for his administration.

This was after the 2nd Quarter Tugon ng Masa Survey conducted by OCTA Research found that 36 percent of adult Filipinos identify themselves as pro-Marcos.

‘Well, of course, good news lagi ‘yan, ‘yung maraming sumusuporta sa iyo (it is always good news to know that many are supporting you),’ he said in a chance interview on the sidelines of an event in Masantol, Pampanga.

The number of Filipinos expressing support for his administration is higher than the 31 percent recorded by OCTA in the first quarter of the year.

Marcos said the survey indicates that Filipinos are becoming more appreciative of the current administration’s efforts to give them a comfortable life.

He assured the public that the government would continue to do its best for the betterment of the country.

‘I have to say that is nice to know that people are beginning to understand what we are trying to do,’ Marcos
said.

‘Hindi kami nagde-decide dahil para sa magandang survey. Nagde-decide kami para pagandahin ang buhay ng Pilipinas. Kaya’t tuloy-tuloy ang mga – ganun pa rin ang gagawin namin (We don’t make decisions to get good survey results. We make decisions to improve the people’s lives. That is why we will continue to do what we are doing).’

Based on the latest OCTA survey, Marcos and his administration received the highest support from Filipinos living in Metro Manila at 43 percent, followed by Balance Luzon at 42 percent, the Visayas at 32 percent, and Mindanao at 25 percent.
