Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasised guidelines and policies adopted by the Party and the State to facilitate children’s all-round development at a meeting held in Hanoi on June 12 with outstanding members of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children’s Union (HVCU) from Ho Chi Minh City. The children are in Hanoi for the ‘I love my fatherland’ journey first launched in HCM City in 2009. During this year’s programme, they have learned about the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954), the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10) and Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Vu A Dinh who laid down his life at the age of 15.
