Party General Secretary and President Visits National Academy of Politics and Public Administration

Vientiane: The National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (NAPPA) held a welcoming ceremony for Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of the Lao PDR, during his official visit and working meeting at the academy on August 18, 2026. According to Lao News Agency, Mr. Thongloun was welcomed by Mr. Anouphab Tounalom, Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of NAPPA, along with members of the Party Committee and the academy's leadership. The ceremony commenced with remarks on the purpose of the visit by Daosavanh Keurmixay, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of NAPPA. Following this, Anouphab presented a report detailing the academy's overall activities and work implementation during the past period. The working visit held strategic significance for the academy's role in training and developing cadres, who are fundamental to the Party and State. During the meeting, participants received guidance from the General Secretary and President, highlighting the necessity of strengthening the revolutionary spirit and political and ideological steadfastness among NAPPA's faculty, lecturers, and management personnel. The guidance further emphasized the importance of aligning the academy's training and political responsibilities with the Party's resolutions and developmental direction in the new era.
