PAL to resume Clark-Basco flights July 2

MANILA: Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced Monday the resumption of flights between Clark and Basco, Batanes beginning July 2.

PAL will operate four weekly flights, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.

“We started operating Clark-Basco route in October 2017 but operations were suspended during the pandemic. We look forward to its resumption amid travel resurgence,” PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna told the Philippine News Agency.

The flight will leave Clark at 11 a.m. and arrive in Batanes at 12:35 p.m. The return flight will leave Basco at 1 p.m. and arrive in Clark at 2:35 p.m.

“We are delighted to revive our Clark-Basco service commencing on the third quarter of 2024. Convenient connectivity is essential for travelers who wish to experience our island-destinations,” PAL president Stanley Ng said in a statement.

He added they are also eyeing to reopen more routes via Clark as they continue to grow PAL’s network from Central Luzon
.

The direct flights will provide ease to passengers as they would not need to go to Manila to fly to Basco, PAL said.

The airline also flies to Basco daily from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
