Officials from line ministries led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Phoxay Khaykhamphithoune on Thursday inspected the preparations for the establishment of a Laos-China international checkpoint at the Boten Station of the Laos-China Railway in Luang Namtha.
The officials represented the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Public Security, Public Works and Transport, Finance, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture and Forestry, and Health, and the Prime Minister’s Office.
The deputy minister was informed by relevant authorities that the majority of preparations for the establishment of the new international checkpoint have been carried out and currently legal instruments are being revised with all the documents expected to be signed by the end of this month.
