National Assembly Conducts Workshop on Justice Request Database Management

Vientiane: The National Assembly Standing Committee recently conducted a training workshop focused on the justice request management database in Keo Oudom District. The workshop, held on May 23-24, was led by Thoummaly Vongphachan, who is both a Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairperson of the Committee for Law and Justice. According to Lao News Agency, the event saw participation from various high-ranking officials, including vice chairpersons of the committee, directors general and deputy directors general, senior secretaries, and department heads. In addition, staff members from the National Assembly, along with representatives from the People's Council offices of Luang Prabang Province and Khammouane Province, attended. Stakeholders from the Westminster Foundation for Democracy were also present. Mrs. Thoummaly highlighted that the training aimed to boost readiness, awareness, and a shared understanding of a modern statistical management system for justice requests. She emphasized that the d atabase is intended to securely gather, consolidate, and manage justice request data, enhancing both convenience and efficiency for the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly overall. The workshop included presentations and hands-on training sessions covering various aspects of the justice request management database. These included system login procedures for different account types, online submission of requests, data entry, request tracking, and information searches. Participants were also instructed on procedures for summarizing, reporting, and transferring requests within the system. During the training, attendees engaged in active discussions, exchanging views and providing feedback on technical issues and operational procedures. This was aimed at ensuring a common understanding and effective future implementation of the database system.
