LFNC Reviews Security and Health Care Preparations Ahead of 12th National Congress

Vientiane: The Lao Front for National Development (LFNC) convened a meeting on April 21, 2026, to review the progress of its Subcommittee for Security and Health Care.

According to Lao News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Siphachanh Nanthavongsa, a member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President of the LFNC, who also heads the Subcommittee. Attendees included members of the subcommittee and representatives from the Vientiane Public Security Command, the Department of Healthcare under the Ministry of Health, and the General Logistics Department of the Ministry of Public Security.

Discussions at the meeting concentrated on ensuring full readiness for upcoming national events. The focus was on assessing the preparedness of security and healthcare operations and reviewing the progress of action plans implemented by respective units.

The Vice President commended all sectors for their responsibility in developing plans and coordinating effectively between the health and public security sectors. She emphasized the political importance of these preparations, underscoring their necessity for major national and Party events.

Furthermore, she highlighted the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of senior Party and Government leaders, as well as former high-ranking officials. She called for thorough and effective preparations to ensure the success of the 12th National Congress of the LFNC.

The meeting underscored the LFNC's commitment to meticulous planning and coordination, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding the health and security of all delegates and leadership involved in the upcoming congress.
