Laos has recorded 1,066 new Covid-19 cases and nine new deaths attributed to Covid-19 over the past 24 hours with the total reaching 117,956 including 430 deaths, the National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control told a press conference this morning.
Of the new confirmed cases, 1,062 were classified as domestic infections, and four as imported cases.
The domestic infections included 399 in Vientiane, 109 in Oudomxay, 80 in Xayaboury, 45 in Luang Prabang, 44 in Phongsaly, 42 in Borikhamxay, and 38 in Savannakhet.
Yesterday, Jan 7 witnessed 321 Covid-19 patients discharged from hospitals nationwide.
