The Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare inaugurated the Labour Market Information Centre to help Lao workers, including those returning from aboard, to gain access to employment in and outside the country. Data collected since 2020 has shown that more than 200,000 Lao workers have returned from aboard due to Covid-19, according to Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare.
“They have brought with them experiences in various fields including agriculture, animal husbandry, food processing, construction, hospitality services,” said the deputy minister.
