CALAMBA CITY: The Laguna Provincial Police Office (LPPO) reported on Wednesday that its operatives have apprehended two alleged sex offenders, both of whom are included in the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) ‘most wanted’ list in Calabarzon.

Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, acting director of the LPPO, identified the suspects only as ‘Ken’ and ‘Jeric,’ who have been on the run for separate rape complaints.

Unos said lawmen caught up with Ken at his hideout in Barangay Santo Domingo, Bay town on Tuesday.

He now faces multiple charges, including rape and rape by sexual assault, for which no bail is being recommended by Family Court Branch 2 in this city.

Similarly, Rizal police warrant personnel apprehended “Jeric” in Barangay Pauli 2, Rizal town, for the charge of statutory rape with no bail recommended by the Family Court Fourth Judicial Region Branch 7 in San Pablo City.

Both suspects are currently detained at their respective operating unit’s custodial facilities for processing.

“Our police force is committed
to delivering justice for the victims of criminal acts. We remain steadfast in our duty to serve and protect our citizens,” Unos said.
