Kim Jong Un Honors Hyon Chol Hae at Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery

Pyongyang: Kim Jong Un, the general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri on May 18 to commemorate the third anniversary of Hyon Chol Hae’s passing. Hyon was a significant military and political figure in the DPRK.



According to Lao News Agency, Kim Jong Un placed a flower at Hyon Chol Hae’s grave, reflecting on the revolutionary comrade’s dedication to the Juche cause. Hyon was remembered for his communist principles, extensive knowledge, and resolute execution skills.



Kim Jong Un paid silent tribute to Hyon Chol Hae, acknowledging him as a devoted patriot and a model revolutionary. He reminisced about Hyon’s close association with General Kim Jong Il and his exemplary political and organizational skills.



Kim Jong Un highlighted Hyon Chol Hae’s loyalty to the Party and the revolution, expressing hope that his spirit and accomplishments would remain an enduring source of inspiration. He also paid respects at the monument to martyrs, honoring those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s future.
