Jeju: Jeju Air Co., Republic of Korea’s leading low-cost carrier, said Friday it has launched a new route to Singapore as part of efforts to strengthen its service network in the Asian market.

According to Lao News Agency, the budget carrier began operating daily flights on the Incheon-Singapore route starting Thursday. This expansion complements Jeju Air’s existing Singapore route from Busan, Republic of Korea’s largest port city, located some 330 kilometers southeast of Seoul.

The company highlighted that the expansion caters to travel demand for Singapore and also offers access to Indonesia’s Batam Island, reachable by a one-hour ferry ride from Singapore. Jeju Air sees the new route as an opportunity to enhance connectivity within the Asian region.

Jeju Air currently manages six domestic routes and approximately 70 international routes, utilizing a fleet comprised of 38 Boeing 737-800NG and six Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
