Isolated rains to prevail across PH Thursday

MANILA: Most parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers on Thursday, the weather bureau said.

Moderate to heavy rains caused by the northeast monsoon and could result in flash floods or landslides may be experienced over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.

The northeast monsoon will also cause isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas.

Isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country, PAGASA added.

Meanwhile, strong winds and rough seas continue to prevail across Northern Luzon.

The rest of the island is still forecast to experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
