He recounted the historical significance of Diwali, marking the return of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Lord Lakshmana to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Ambassador Sangwan also highlighted the increasing recognition of Diwali in Laos, citing a community celebration by the Indian diaspora in Vientiane on October 18, as a testament to the strengthening cultural ties between India and Laos.
