Vietnamese embassies in foreign countries held homage-paying ceremonies and opened funeral books for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who died at 1:38pm on July 19, 2024. In Vietnam, the respect-paying ceremony for the deceased started at the National Mourning Hall in Hanoi from 7am of July 25. The memorial service will take place from 1pm of July 26 at the same place, and the burial service at 3mp of July 26 at Hanoi’s Mai Dich Cemetery.
