Vientiane:Mahosot Hospital, in collaboration with the Lancang-Mekong Development Foundation and China’s ‘Mother’s Smile’ Charity Organisation, will offer free cleft lip and palate surgery from November 25 to 30, 2026.
According to Lao News Agency, this charity initiative, named ‘Mother’s Smile – Love in Lao PDR,’ will be conducted by medical specialists at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mahosot Hospital.
The programme is designed to provide free reconstructive surgery to disadvantaged individuals with cleft lip, cleft palate, and related facial conditions who need specialised medical treatment.
