CCIF’Elles Launches to Empower and Connect Women in Laos

Vientiane: The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Laos (CCIFL) officially launched CCIF'Elles on Thursday evening-a network designed to unite women of all nationalities, including entrepreneurs, professionals, and homemakers. The initiative aims to facilitate experience sharing, foster connections, and provide mutual support. The launch event took place at Restaurant M©tisse, creating an inspiring setting for attendees.

According to Lao News Agency, the event welcomed participants from different backgrounds, showcasing the vibrant social and economic landscape of Laos. Mrs. Daramany Pathamavong, Executive Secretary of CCIFL, opened the evening with remarks praising the initiative for creating bridges between women from various backgrounds and offering a platform for expression and support.

Emilie Saves, a member of the Executive Committee at BRED Bank Laos (BFL) and a key figure in CCIF'Elles, highlighted the significance of uniting women's energy to drive economic and social development. Her involvement underscores the network's commitment to fostering women's roles in societal progress.

A notable moment of the evening was the story shared by Mrs. Manothip Siripaphanh, founder and designer of Naree Fashion Handicraft. She spoke of her transition from motherhood to entrepreneurship, focusing on sustainable handicraft and job creation for disadvantaged individuals in Laos. Her narrative emphasized the power of shared experiences for collective growth.

The event emphasized the crucial role women play in Laos's development, particularly in entrepreneurship and social innovation. Mrs. Pathamavong concluded the evening by encouraging attendees to actively engage with the CCIF'Elles community to build lasting connections and learn from each other's experiences.
