Minimum Deposit Casinos Releases Analysis on How the US-China Trade War Could Impact Global Online Gambling

WATERFORD, Ireland, April 11, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Minimum Deposit Casinos (MDC), a leading global casino resource portal and division of the OneTwenty Group, has released a new analysis highlighting the potential impact of the US-China trade war on the global online casino industry.

As tensions escalate between the two economic giants, MDC warns that the effects may reach far beyond Asian casino stocks — affecting the infrastructure that powers online gambling platforms worldwide.

Casino operators with heavy exposure to Asia, such as Melco Resorts and Las Vegas Sands, have seen share prices drop by as much as 9.8%. Meanwhile, U.S.-based companies like Wynn Resorts and MGM International have also experienced notable declines. But MDC’s expert analysis suggests this could be just the tip of the iceberg.

“The first impacts won’t come from gambling laws but from tech and finance disruptions,” says a leading analyst at MDC. “Online casinos rely on international payment networks, cloud hosting, and fintech tools. If those start getting caught in the crossfire, players and operators everywhere will feel it.”

MDC’s report outlines potential risks including delayed payouts, currency volatility, tighter financial regulations, and increased costs for cloud-based operations. While land-based casino stocks face short-term dips, the digital gambling world could be facing a longer-term restructuring.

Despite the uncertainty, MDC remains committed to monitoring trends and keeping players informed as the industry adapts to a shifting global economy.

About MDC
MDC, a division of the OneTwenty Group, is a global iGaming resource portal that reviews and recommends the most trusted and regulated online casinos to players. MDC analyses every aspect of online casinos from checking gaming license details to security, responsible gambling tools, and fair gaming practices, before recommending them to players.

CGTN: China draws blueprint for building community with shared future with neighboring countries

CGTN publishes an article on the achievements and prospects of China’s cooperation with its neighbors. Introducing China’s efforts to build a community with a shared future with its neighboring countries, the article highlights how China fosters an amicable, secure and prosperous neighborhood in line with the principles of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness.

BEIJING, April 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — In the bustling city of Kunming, capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province, a train loaded with fresh Thai fruits – durian, rambutan and mangoes – smoothly rolls out, beginning a journey that will culminate in the fruits’ distribution across the vast Chinese market. This shipment represents more than just the transportation of goods – it’s a testament to the growing significance of the China-Laos Railway.

By linking China with Laos, Thailand and other ASEAN countries, the railway has become a bridge for regional trade, significantly boosting cross-border commerce. As of the end of last year, the total cargo throughput of the railway has exceeded 50 million tonnes, including 11.58 million tonnes of cross-border goods, since its launch on December 3, 2021.

The railway vividly illustrates China’s long-standing principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, as well as its fostering of good neighborliness and friendship.

At the central conference on work related to neighboring countries, which was held in Beijing on Tuesday and Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated China’s commitments to building a community with a shared future with neighboring countries.

A statement released after the meeting highlighted that China regards neighborhood as a vital foundation for national development and prosperity, a key front for safeguarding national security and a priority area in the country’s overall diplomacy.

Amicable, secure and prosperous

The meeting stressed China will remain committed to fostering an amicable, secure and prosperous neighborhood in line with the principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, a philosophy put forward by Xi in 2013 in promoting the country’s neighborhood diplomacy.

Speaking at 2014’s Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs, the Chinese president further elaborated the idea, saying China will foster friendship and partnership with neighboring countries, build an amicable, peaceful and prosperous neighborhood, and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and interconnectivity.

Zhou Fangyin, a professor of international relations at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, said that the consistency and stability of China’s neighborhood diplomacy have become a prominent factor of certainty in the region against the backdrop of the turbulent international landscape.

Over the past decade, China has established diverse and substantive partnerships, cooperative relations and strategic relations of mutual benefit with 28 neighboring countries and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Thus, China has resolved historical boundary issues with 12 neighbors on land through negotiations and signed the treaties of good neighborliness and friendly cooperation with nine neighboring countries.

Critical phase

China’s relations with its neighboring countries are currently at their best in modern times and are also entering a critical phase where regional dynamics and global transformations are deeply intertwined, the conference noted.

It called for taking into account both the domestic and international situations and coordinating the two major priorities of development and security.

The Chinese side vowed to work with its neighbors to consolidate strategic mutual trust, support regional countries in pursuing development paths suited to their respective conditions and properly manage differences.

Liu Qing, vice president of the China Institute of International Studies, pointed out that with the world entering a new period of turbulence and change, China’s domestic environment is increasingly intertwined with its surrounding environment more than ever before.

Through building a community with a shared future with its neighbors, China is strengthening economic, cultural, and ecological integration and cooperation with the neighbors, which are in line with the trend of the times, Liu added.

China has reached common understandings on building a community with a shared future with 17 neighboring countries, signed Belt and Road cooperation agreements with 25 neighboring countries, worked to synergize the Belt and Road Initiative with the cooperation plans of ASEAN and the Eurasian Economic Union, and remained the largest trading partner of its 18 neighbors.

Marc Mysterio’s Attorney: Amazon is ‘playing god with data’ Billboard uses for charts

Marc Mysterio in 2025

IBA Boxing Mandatory Challenger for (Vacant) Super Cruiserweight Intercontinental Championship vs. Jake Paul and Internationally Acclaimed Billboard Charting Artist Marc Mysterio

NEW YORK, April 08, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Marc Mysterio’s legal team, led by attorney Michael H. Joseph, will serve Amazon Music’s counsel with a letter of preservation of evidence imminently—as noted in Marc’s 3-Part YouTube Series exposing the Shadow-ban placed on his music using the IF/THEN protocol employed by Amazon Music— escalating the Irish-Canadian artist’s lawsuit against Amazon Music and DistroKid (Case No. 1:25-cv-01705).

Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Feb. 27, 2025, the suit claims damages “in excess of $75,000,” with losses in the millions to date, alleging Amazon employed a shadow-ban on Mysterio’s songs by deploying an “IF/THEN” filter—essentially a simple “if this, then that” command, like telling a computer, “If it’s Marc’s music, then mark it with a dash (‘-’)”—rendering his tracks “artist-less” and unable to reach his 1.25 million fans, play on Amazon Stations, connect to related artists’ fans, or be considered for AI features normally available to all artists, even the below-mentioned, unheralded Neon Tom.

Mysterio, a 20-year music veteran and one of Amazon’s top global stars with over 80 million streams from September 2023 to August 2024—55% from Amazon Stations—saw his music blocked by the shadow-ban starting Sept. 10, 2024. The ban also threatens chart integrity, notably the Billboard Hot Dance and Electronic Songs Chart, where Mysterio charted based solely on Amazon streams..

Marc Mysterio Streams/Listeners from 2024 Amazon Music For Artists

Marc Mysterio Streams/Listeners from 2024 Amazon Music For Artists

By arbitrarily shadow-banning a charting artist for reasons known only to Amazon, the company can manipulate positions on independent charts like Billboard in the U.S. and the UK Official Charts, undermining the credibility of Billboard Magazine’s staff, artists, and their teams. “Amazon’s playing god with data that charts like Billboard Magazine—totally independent with no business ties to Amazon beyond collecting stream stats—rely on for calculations, for charts that Billboard’s readers and paying subscribers rely on,” Joseph said.

A 3-part YouTube series strengthens Mysterio’s case: Video 1 (March 19, 2025) shows “streaming errors” across his profile; Video 2 reveals “My Sabrina Carpenter Mix” with 17 of 50 songs by Carpenter, while “My Marc Mysterio Mix” has zero of 50 by Mysterio, contrasting Amazon Music Stations—algorithm-driven streams, not playlists—where Neon Tom, an artist with zero Amazon fans (equivalent to followers), lands two of the first 10 songs on his station, while Mysterio’s station played nearly 50 songs with none of his own. Video 3 details his station’s 225,463 streams and 57,453 listeners from the noted calendar year, and the Taylor Swift station’s 3,698,968 streams and 742,696 listeners of Mysterio’s songs from the noted calendar year, both bottoming out to zero on Sept. 25, 2024.

Marc Mysterio’s 3-Part YouTube Series expose Amazon’s IT backend, for example: Mysterio’s artist page URL (https://music.amazon.com/artists/B0041A1P4U/marc-mysterio) works without “/marc-mysterio” (https://music.amazon.com/artists/B0041A1P4U/), proving the 10-digit code “B0041A1P4U” drives identification—a key for discovery subpoenas. Amazon’s partial restore of Mysterio’s “Related Artists” to their pre-shadow-ban state in March 2025, post-complaint, without removing the shadow-ban itself, fueled the fight. “They showed they could fix it but didn’t,” Joseph said. “It’s more foolish than a 4th down trick play gone wrong.”

The preservation letter targets 17 evidence categories tied to “B0041A1P4U,” including metadata logs proving the shadow-ban’s scope from Sept. 10, 2024, backup snapshots showing Amazon’s restore capability, algorithm trails pinning intent, station logs quantifying damages—225,463 streams on Mysterio’s station and 3,698,968 on Taylor Swift’s, both zeroed by Sept. 25, 2024—and user metrics revealing 1.25 million fans cut off, per the YouTube series—all of which are dispositive to Marc’s claims contained in his lawsuit.

“Amazon’s half-fix—restoring Mysterio’s ‘Related Artists’ to their pre-shadow-ban state without removing the shadow-ban itself—is their 4th down fumble; they have essentially handed us the win by fixing and restoring the related artists portion of Marc Mysterio’s Amazon Music Artist Page but not simultaneously removing the IF/THEN code responsible for the shadow-ban when Amazon’s IT Staff could easily have done so—it shows clear and convincing intent to cause undue harm to Marc Mysterio, and the logs sought will show this” Joseph said, eyeing punitive damages.

Mysterio, known for collaborations with David Guetta, Crash Test Dummies, Flo Rida, Samantha Fox, and Trailer Park Boys—where he composed, appeared as a guest star DJ, and earned an IFPI Gold Award for the anthem from the Netflix Series entitled “L&W” (an abbreviation of the song title due to the explicit song title)—also scored a Gold Award with Alexandra Stan for “Balans.” He holds IBA boxing recognition as a contender for a vacant world title against Jake Paul.

“I was a top Amazon star who entrusted them as a voluntary exclusive artist, pulling my catalog from Spotify and Apple—if they’ll mistreat me like this, they could and likely would do it to any star, no matter how successful globally or how much you do for the community, including assisting terrorist victims” Mysterio concludes.

Marc Mysterio’s 3-part YouTube series exposing the Amazon Music shadow-ban can be viewed at www.alexaemail.com which links directly to the playlist.

1000 Miglia 2025, Official List of Accepted Cars

1000 Miglia 2024

1000 Miglia 2024

BRESCIA, Italy, April 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The wait is over: the list of cars that will participate in the 1000 Miglia 2025 has been drawn up by the Selection Committee that, year after year, has the task of choosing the cars that will take part in the “most unique travelling museum in the world”, as Enzo Ferrari defined it.

The over 400 crews selected will be from 29 countries: Italy is the most represented country, closely followed by Netherlands, Great Britain and the United States. As for the cars, 127 pre-war models will take part in the 43rd re-enactment of the Red Arrow. 78, on the other hand, are those that raced in the historic speed competition between 1927 and 1957.

In the exclusive parterre of cars, together with the prestigious collections of Ferrari (17), Bugatti (10) and Bentley (8), there are an impressive 18 pre-war Alfa Romeos. Not to be missed is a unique specimen such as the Biondetti Ferrari-Jaguar Special. On the subject of models, an Aston Martin DB 3 and two fascinating Porsche 550 Spyder RS deserve a special mention.

Awaiting the drivers of the next edition of the Most Beautiful Race in the World, scheduled from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 June, is a route of about 1900 kilometres divided into 5 days of competition, along an “figure-or-eight” route inspired by the first 12 editions of the 1000 Miglia speed race. The cities on the route are San Lazzaro di SavenaRomeCervia-Milano Marittima and Parma.

Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli, in pursuit of their fifth consecutive victory at the wheel of the splendid Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato from 1929, will have to watch their backs against expert crews such as Fontanella-Covelli, Aliverti-Polini, Turelli, Tonconogy-Ruffini and Erejomovich-Llnanos, just to name a few. Among the famous faces this year will be Joe Bastianich and Carlo Cracco, who for the occasion will be competing far from the kitchen: one at the wheel of a 1954 Porsche 356 1000 Speedster, the other as navigator in a 1927 Bugatti T40.

As per the regulations, each car participating in the race must have been previously certified by the Registro 1000 Miglia in order to guarantee its authenticity, as well as a standard of excellence worthy of the Most Beautiful Race in the World.

The collaboration between the two companies will promote the IdentiFlight mission to help mitigate the cumulative impacts of wind energy on biodiversity. The IdentiFlight system operates with 99 percent accuracy and reduces bird fatalities in wind farms by more than 85 percent in 12 countries across five continents.

“The need for sustainable energy solutions comes with the responsibility to protect biodiversity,” said Dirk van der Walt, founder of Roc Conservation Tech. “South Africa’s wind energy sector is rapidly growing, yet it is home to diverse and vulnerable bird populations that require advanced conservation measures. Partnering with IdentiFlight to deploy these systems in South African wind farms will help ensure that renewable energy expansion in the region is both responsible and sustainable.”

“Strong partnerships are essential to Boulder Imaging’s mission and IdentiFlight’s continued growth,” said Don Mills, president and chief operating officer of Boulder Imaging. “By collaborating with Roc Conservation Tech, we are bringing a wealth of local expertise and resources to the South African market, enhancing our ability to efficiently and responsively serve our customers.”

Developed by Boulder Imaging, IdentiFlight is a state-of-the-art bird detection and informed curtailment system designed to mitigate the impact of wind energy projects on bird populations. Using advanced artificial intelligence and optical sensor technology, IdentiFlight detects, classifies and quantifies risks to sensitive bird species such as the Cape vulture, martial eagle, Verreaux’s eagle and blue crane. If collision risk meets a predetermined threshold, IdentiFlight provides temporary shut down on demand to impacted wind turbines – optimizing energy production while minimizing environmental impact.

The first South African IdentiFlight station was installed in June 2024. This system has already been trained to detect and classify more than 20 unique species with over 98 percent accuracy, including the Cape vulture, African marsh harrier and African fish eagle.

AKWEL: NET INCOME OF €24.2 MILLION IN 2024

        Champfromier, Thursday, April 3, 2025

NET INCOME OF €24.2 MILLION IN 2024

AKWEL (FR0000053027, AKW, PEA-eligible), parts and systems manufacturer for the automotive and heavy-vehicle industry, specialist in fluid management, mechanisms and E-powertrain parts, posted its 2024 annual results.

Consolidated data – in € millions 2024 2023 Var. in %
Revenue 989.0 1066.4 -7.3%
EBITDA 87.2 101.9 -14.4%
Current operating income 38.4 61.0 -37.1%
Operating income 39.7 49.3 -19.4%
Financial income 1.4 0.3
Net result (group share) 24.2 35.7 -32.3%

Inflationary pressures on raw materials and components, but especially on payroll, still weigh on current operating profit in the context of a decline in activity while essential expenditure is still being maintained to build the Group’s future. EBITDA decreased by -14.4% to €87.2M and current operating income decreased by -37.1% to €38.4M. After an income tax expense of €16.6M, the net income attributable to the Group reached €24.2M.

The operating cash flow amounted to €95.7M, up 49.7%. Net investments remained high in 2024 at €40.3M, focusing in particular on safety issues, product adaptation to electric motors and hydrogen engines and on product competitiveness by integrating the manufacture of certain components. AKWEL generated a positive net cash position at the end of the period of €133.4M, compared to €105M at the end of 2023.

Significant progress was recorded in terms of CSR, including a further decrease in the frequency of accidents at work, a reduction in water consumption and a decrease of -36% in carbon emissions compared to 2021.

The evolution of the world market and the delays in the start of production and sales of electric vehicles should lead to a decline in activity in 2025 comparable to that of 2024. In this context, the Group continues to adapt to a market undergoing transformation by adjusting its production costs, strengthening its technical and technological capabilities and by developing the agility of its organization.

An independent family business, trading on Euronext Paris, AKWEL is a parts and systems manufacturer for the automotive and heavy-vehicle industry, and a specialist in fluid management, mechanisms and structural parts for electric vehicles. The Group achieves this with their first-rate industrial and technological know-how in mastering the application and processing of materials (plastic, rubber, metal) and mechatronic integration.

Operating in 20 countries across 5 continents, AKWEL employs 8,600 people worldwide.

eXp Realty Debuts Co-Sponsor Program, Accelerating the Future of Collaborative Agent Growth

New program empowers agents with dual leadership, enhanced rewards, and deeper collaboration

eXp Realty Debuts Co-Sponsor Program, Accelerating the Future of Collaborative Agent Growth

New program empowers agents with dual leadership, enhanced rewards, and deeper collaboration

BELLINGHAM, Wash., April 02, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — eXp Realty®, “the most agent-centric real estate brokerage on the planet™” and the core subsidiary of eXp World Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXPI), today unveiled its transformative Co-Sponsor Program — a bold evolution in how agents and commercial advisors collaborate, lead, and build wealth together at eXp.

The announcement was made during eXpcon Montréal, where hundreds of agents and leaders from across Canada and the globe gathered for a three-day real estate conference. For the first time in company history, new agents and advisors joining eXp can now select both a Primary Sponsor and a Co-Sponsor, unlocking access to two leaders instead of one. This initiative amplifies leadership support, accelerates onboarding success, and expands knowledge sharing. More than a structural change, it’s a strategic move to fuel agent growth, build scalable organizations, and deepen the collaborative DNA that powers eXp’s expansion.

“Just like when we pioneered cloud-based real estate and launched revenue share, this is a moment that marks where we’re headed,” said Glenn Sanford, Founder, Chairman and CEO of eXp World Holdings. “The Co-Sponsor Program isn’t just a feature — it’s an evolution in how we grow together.”

Launching May 1, 2025, the Co-Sponsor Program enhances the agent experience without changing the existing sponsorship structure. Primary Sponsors continue to earn levels 2–7 revenue share, FLQA qualifications, and stock awards. Meanwhile, Co-Sponsors are empowered to support agents beyond their personal downline — and in return, are eligible to receive level 1 revenue share and a Fast Start bonus (50% of revenue share in the agent’s first year), when applicable.

“The Co-Sponsor Program is more than an onboarding enhancement, it’s a strategic unlock for agent growth and organizational scale,” said Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty. “By enabling experienced leaders to support agents outside their organization, we’re empowering more builders to rise, more agents to succeed, and ultimately expanding our global agent base faster than ever.”

What the Co-Sponsor Program Delivers:

  • Accelerated Agent Growth: By enabling more leaders to support and attract agents beyond their direct organization, the Co-Sponsor program creates a new engine for scalable, sustainable agent growth.
  • More Support, More Success: New agents and advisors now benefit from the leadership and experience of two sponsors — offering broader support and faster growth.
  • Stronger Rewards: Co-Sponsors earn level 1 revenue share and a 50% Fast Start bonus, adding new incentives for experienced leaders to invest in agent success.
  • Zero Disruption: The core benefits of Primary Sponsorship remain untouched — including all revenue share levels beyond level 1 and stock incentives.

This initiative represents an important evolution in the way agents and advisors at eXp support one another and scale their businesses. A Co-Sponsor Toolkit — complete with training, tools, and templates — is now available to help agents fully leverage the program.

NEW YORK, April 01, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AI-Media, the global leader in AI-powered language technology and solutions, is thrilled to announce an advanced partnership with AudioShake, a pioneering audio technology company specializing in sound separation. This partnership will enhance AI-Media’s LEXI Voice solution, creating a fully automated, high-quality mix with real-time AI voice translation – setting a new industry standard for live broadcast audio.

AudioShake’s state-of-the-art technology can isolate dialogue from noisy environments such as live sports, music concerts, and news feeds. This capability will enable AI-Media to separate and clean up mixed sports audio – including commentary and stadium sounds – and re-mix it with a new translated commentary voice using LEXI Voice. The result: a high-quality, natural-sounding broadcast experience that preserves the original background sounds while delivering accurate real-time translation in multiple languages. Together, their technologies create a market-leading solution that redefines what’s possible in live multilingual broadcasting.

Key Benefits of the Partnership:

  • Enhanced Audio Clarity – AudioShake can isolate commentary from noisy backgrounds, ensuring LEXI Voice delivers clean, high-quality translated audio.
  • Seamless Integration – Works with LEXI Voice’s advanced AI audio mixing and ducking features in both stereo and 5.1 professional mixes.
  • Fully Automated Workflow – End-to-end automation covering transcription, translation, synthetic voice generation, and re-mixing for an immersive listening experience.
  • New Audio Track Creation – AudioShake enables the creation of a separate clean background track, allowing LEXI Voice to insert translated commentary while preserving background sound authenticity.
  • Global Accessibility – The enhanced quality will further strengthen AI-Media’s position as a leader in global sports broadcasting and live event accessibility.

“This partnership with AudioShake is a game-changer for live sports and event broadcasting,” said Tony Abrahams, CEO of AI-Media. “The ability to isolate and clean up sports commentary in real-time while delivering AI-generated translations through LEXI Voice will redefine the viewing experience for global audiences.”

AI-Media will integrate AudioShake into the company’s iCap network; the world’s largest and most secure distribution network. The first release of this new solution is scheduled for July 2025.

“We’re excited to pair our state-of-the-art voice and background isolation technology with the strength and reach of AI-Media’s captioning and translation capabilities,” said Jessica Powell, CEO of AudioShake. “Together we’re enabling broadcasters to make live events accessible to viewers around the world.”
