Bitcoin Price Surpasses $105,000 Mark for First Time Since January 31

Moscow: The price of Bitcoin climbed above $105,000 for the first time since January 31, according to the Binance platform. As of 04:05 a.m. Moscow time (01:05 a.m. GMT), the price of Bitcoin grew by 0.34%, reaching $105,032. However, by 04:19 a.m. Moscow time (01:19 a.m. GMT), its growth slowed, with the price settling at $104,495, a decrease of 0.61%.

According to Lao News Agency, the last instance of Bitcoin exceeding the $100,000 threshold was on May 8, 2025. Experts had previously informed TASS of the potential for Bitcoin to not only reach the $100,000 mark but to possibly continue its ascent to as high as $300,000.

Bitcoin operates as a decentralized system of cryptocurrency, sharing its name, and relies on blockchain technology. This cryptocurrency can be mined by any participant within the system. The concept of Bitcoin was introduced in November 2008 by an individual or group under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.
