Bettor from Batangas Wins PHP42-Million Mega Lotto Jackpot


Batangas – A lucky bettor from Batangas City has won the PHP42-million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on Monday night, according to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).



According to Philippines News Agency, The PCSO, in its advisory on Tuesday, confirmed that the winning combination of 06-23-25-29-22-36 yielded a total jackpot prize of PHP42,024,785.20. The winning ticket was purchased in Batangas City. Winners have a one-year period from the date of the draw to claim their prize, as stipulated in Republic Act 1169, which governs PCSO lotteries.



Jackpot prizes over PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law and must be claimed at the PCSO main office on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City. In addition to the jackpot winner, 31 other bettors won PHP32,000 each for matching five of the six winning digits. Another 1,681 people will receive PHP1,000 each for four correct digits, while 30,238 bettors will get PHP30 each for three correct digits.



The Mega Lotto 6/45 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to participate in the agency’s gaming products, emphasizing that the revenue generated supports health initiatives, medical services, and national charities. Through its mandatory contributions, PCSO not only assists individuals needing medical aid but also provides funding to government institutions.
