Vientiane: BCEL and NTP have announced a new initiative to provide fuel vouchers to motorcyclists in Vientiane. Under this program, BCEL One users are eligible to receive a 50,000 kip fuel voucher per motorcycle, contributing to a total support value nearing 200 million kip. This initiative is aimed at assisting daily commuters and fostering cooperation between the banking and energy sectors for public support.
According to Lao News Agency, the fuel distribution will occur at That Luang Lake, specifically at the NTP mobile fuel service point. This event is scheduled to run from 26 to 27 March 2026, between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. Organisers are anticipating significant public turnout, as the initiative is designed to accommodate a large number of motorcycle users within Vientiane.
To avail themselves of the fuel voucher, participants must physically arrive at the designated location with their motorcycles. They need to present the BCEL One application on their mobile devices, follow BCEL Bank and NTP Company Limited on Facebook, and publicly like and share the promotional post.
The organisers have specified that the offer is capped at 2,000 motorcycles each day, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Authorities are advising eligible participants to arrive early to ensure they obtain their vouchers.
This initiative underscores the commitment of BCEL and NTP to community support, the promotion of digital financial services, and reducing the impact of rising fuel costs on daily commuters in Laos.
