Vientiane: Agricultural exports through the Phu Keua international checkpoint in Attapeu Province reached 25,754.35 tonnes between 1st and 30th June 2026, with a total value of US$23.68 million.
According to Lao News Agency, Ministry of Finance, these exports comprised a variety of agricultural products that found markets across several countries.
The majority of these exports included coffee beans, tapioca flour, mangoes, crushed maize kernels, rubber, tapioca residue, tea, sugar-blended flour, pepper, and dried tobacco leaves. These goods were primarily destined for Vietnam, China, the Netherlands, and Japan, with Vietnam receiving the largest portion.
Vietnam imported a diverse range of products, including 2,277 tonnes of coffee, 600 tonnes of betel nuts, 32 tonnes of bark, and 2,708 tonnes of tapioca flour. Other items exported to Vietnam included 15 tonnes of pomelos, 35 tonnes of organic sugar, and 153 tonnes of white sugar. Additionally, 700 tonnes of molasses, 14 tonnes of pomelos (citrus maxima), 70 tonnes of cashew nuts, 1,068.5 tonnes of rubber scrap, 90 tonnes of rubber wood, 112.5 tonnes of processed rubber wood, and 2,672.43 tonnes of plywood were also exported.
Exports to China consisted of 3,641 tonnes of tapioca flour and 4,125 tonnes of bananas. Belgium also received exports of white sugar, organic sugar, and organic granulated sugar, indicating a broad international reach for these agricultural products.
