Agri villages benefit from improved farm-to-market roads in N. Vizcaya

MANILA: Residents of agricultural villages now have easier access to the market after the concreting of two farm-to-market roads (FMRs) that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed in the municipality of Bambang in Nueva Vizcaya.

In a media release on Tuesday, the DPWH Regional Office 2 said the newly paved FMRs are the Barangay Salinas Road and Barangay San Antonio South to Barangay Dullao Road.

The 486-meter Purok Nangkalapan FMR in Barangay Salinas and the 665-meter Barangay San Antonio South to Barangay Dullao FMR involved the installation of cement concrete pavement and reinforced concrete pipe culvert with headwalls made of rubble concrete, extending a double barrel reinforced concrete box culvert as drainage facilities.

Both road projects were provided with safety markers and signages for a smoother and safer travel experience.

The Nueva Vizcaya 1st District Engineering Office implemented the road concreting projects in Bambang with combined allocation of PHP22 million
