Admiring new painting on rice fields in Ninh Binh

Visitors to Tam Coc-Bich Dong tourist area in Hoa Lu district, the northern province of Ninh Binh during the province’s Tourism Week 2024 slated from June 1 to 8 will be able to admire a new giant painting created on the rice fields along the Ngo Dong river, which are used to be voted by foreign media as one of the most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam. The new painting of a buffalo herd boy playing the flute was shaped by local farmers inspired by the Dong Ho folk painting “Muc Dong Thoi Sao” (The Shepherd Playing the Flute) on a rice growing acreage of about 1 ha at the Hai Cave entrance. The image will become more clear when the rice is ripe. Previously, two giant paintings on the rice fields, namely “Co Hoi” (Festival Flags) and ‘Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet’ (Carps Looking At the Moon), became new attractions to this famous tourist site.
