Hanoi:Officials from the Lao Embassy in Hanoi took part in the 51st Hanoi Moi Open Newspaper Running Championship for Peace 2026 on September 27, 2026. The event, which saw over 3,000 participants, celebrated the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi.
According to Lao News Agency, Mrs. Rattana Sihalath, Minister-Counsellor and Head of the Office of the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Vietnam, led a delegation of 24 members from the Lao Embassy at the event.
The race included three categories: a 250-metre run for VIPs, a 3,500-metre race for men, and a 1,750-metre race for women. This annual event aims to foster physical fitness, friendship, and peace while commemorating Hanoi’s historic liberation on October 10, 1954.
