Vientiane: Ms. Vanmany Phimmasane, Secretary of the Party Grassroots Committee of the Department of Industry and Commerce of Vientiane, has expressed her honor and pride in serving as a delegate representing Vientiane at the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
According to Lao News Agency, Ms. Vanmany stated that participating in the Congress is a significant and memorable occasion, and a great honor for her as both a civil servant and a Party member to take part in such an important national political event. She highlighted the Congress's importance for the country's overall development, particularly in guiding socio-economic progress.
Ms. Vanmany explained that the Department of Industry and Commerce now has expanded responsibilities, as the energy and mining sectors have been integrated into its scope of work. She said that the Party Grassroots Committee is committed to embracing the spirit and resolutions of the Congress and translating them into concrete actions.
She noted that priority will be given to promoting commercial production and increasing exports to generate foreign currency and contribute to national development. The department will also focus on developing and strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their competitiveness both domestically and internationally.
Ms. Vanmany stressed the goal of ensuring that Lao products can compete effectively within the ASEAN region and the global market, reaffirming her confidence that the resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress will be implemented with high efficiency and tangible results.
