Manila: Perpetual Help snapped a two-game skid Saturday, prevailing over Mapua University, 25-13, 25-9, 25-13, in the 2025 V-League Collegiate Challenge at Paco Arena in Manila. Pauline Mae Reyes scored 12 points while Jernalyn Menor added 11 points for the Lady Altas.

According to Philippines News Agency, Geraldine Rae Palacio chipped in 10 points off five attacks, three blocks, and three service aces. "This team is quite new. The chemistry is something I'm still looking for in the lineup inside. That's why I've been rotating the starting six in the past," coach Sandy Rieta said after the 72-minute match.

Perpetual delivered 42 attacks against Mapua's 15 and fired seven aces. Setter Fianne Ariola made 14 excellent sets to go with five points off three spikes, one block, and one ace. "We are now in the status of a learning system. What were our weaknesses, our errors last season, we'll try to replace them with good ones," Rieta added.

Freighanne Garcia and Alex Leabres finished with four points apiece for Mapua, which absorbed its third straight loss. Meanwhile, Perpetual will face winless Letran on Aug. 23 at 3 p.m., while Mapua will try to end its slump against Letran on Aug. 24 at 10 a.m.
