Northern Mindanao: Police in Northern Mindanao have activated a 24/7 Media Action Center and intensified anti-vote-buying operations ahead of Monday's elections, officials announced Thursday. Police Regional Office 10 director, Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, ordered all units to implement Comelec's "Kontra Bigay" campaign under Resolution No. 11104.

According to Philippines News Agency, de Guzman emphasized the zero-tolerance policy for any forms of election cheating in Northern Mindanao. He identified vote-buying as a major threat to electoral integrity and reiterated the commitment to ensuring fair and transparent elections.

The newly opened media center, established after a Presidential Task Force visit, aims to provide real-time election updates and facilitate coordination between police and the press. The center will remain operational until the May 12 election, ensuring a seamless flow of information and enhancing the transparency of the electoral process.
