Vientiane: A delegation from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee, led by General Secretary and State President Thongloun Sisoulith, gathered in Vientiane to pay their respects to former President Khamtay Siphandone.
According to Lao News Agency, President Thongloun signed the official message of condolence, expressing his deepest condolences on behalf of the Party and his family. He acknowledged the passing of Comrade General Khamtay Siphandone as a significant loss for the Party, state, armed forces, and the multi-ethnic Lao people. Comrade General Khamtay was recognized as a revolutionary and national leader who dedicated his life to national liberation, protection, and development, contributing to the prosperity of the Lao nation.
The Party Central Committee also extended its respect and heartfelt condolences to the Siphandone family. They emphasized that the nation and its people will always remember and honor the virtues and contributions of Comrade Khamtay, whose name will remain intertwined with the revolutionary cause of the Party.
