3K vacancies up for grabs in Davao Kalayaan jobs fair

DAVAO CITY: At least 3,000 job vacancies will be available during the Kalayaan Job Fair 2024, which will be held here on June 12, the Department of Labor and Employment in Davao Region (DOLE-11) said Monday.

In a statement, DOLE-11 Director Randolf Pensoy, said the 126th Independence Day is anchored on the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.”

‘As part of this annual commitment, DOLE-11 proudly presents the Kalayaan Job Fair 2024 in Davao City, a testament to the bright future awaiting Filipinos through diverse employment opportunities,’ he said.

The job fair, which will be held at the Gaisano Mall of Davao, will bring together 43 employers in the region, offering 1,979 local and 1,778 overseas jobs.

Customer service representatives, sales and marketing staff, technical support advisors, mechanical technicians, and accounting-related workers are among the top five job opportunities in the local area.

Meanwhile, top overseas opportunities include nurses, manufacturing operators, and production operat
ors.

‘As DOLE-11 continues to adopt the hybrid selection process, online pre-registration started May 31, allowing jobseekers to view available vacancies. Pre-registered jobseekers will conveniently skip the initial steps on the job fair and proceed with the validation and interview stages,’ Pensoy said.

Walk-in clients, he said, are also welcome to register on-site.

DOLE-11 will also be featuring the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Fair on the ground floor (supermarket area) at the same venue, showcasing a wide variety of local and fresh products from 11 livelihood beneficiaries from the city and the provinces of Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte.
