Bicol: The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) reported on Monday that it arrested 32 suspects and confiscated nearly PHP3 million worth of shabu during operations from Aug. 4 to 10. PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr. announced that among those apprehended were six high-value targets, 22 street-level pushers, and four newly-identified suspects who are currently under investigation.
According to Philippines News Agency, the operations led to the seizure of 440.217 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price value of PHP2,993,475. Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr. emphasized the commitment of PRO-5 to continue these operations, issuing a stern warning that the illegal drug trade in the Bicol region will face relentless, united, and decisive action.
