3 kids drown in Negros

The bodies of three minors who were first reported missing while swimming off the coast of Barangay Malabugas, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, were found over the weekend. Lt. Col. Stephen Amamag, Bayawan City police chief, on Monday, said the bodies of the children were recovered separately along the seashore of Malabugas in that southern city on Sunday. The three were identified as Genalyn Primor Villagracia, 11; her brother, Helmar Primor Villagracia, 7; and their 7-year-old cousin Lance Reasol Villagracia. Police report said the children went swimming Saturday morning with their parents. They were reported missing in mid-afternoon. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office immediately launched a search for the missing children believed to have been caught by strong currents and big waves, he added.
