Minister of Health Bounfeng Phoummalaysith on Sunday visited the Sanamxay District Hospital, Attapeu Province to inspect the hospital’s situation, achievements and shortcomings with respect to the improvement of public access to health services.

According to Sanamxay’s Deputy Governor Phoudone Choummaly, ten out of 11 health indicators have been achieved in the district with more than 32,200 people, equal to 80% of the target group given with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, and over 24,500 people, equivalent to 61% of the target population, fully vaccinated.

Twenty-one villages across the district have been declared open defecation free (ODF). They represent 56.7% of the target localities.
