Lao, Vietnamese PMs support Hun Sen’s effort to explore ways to address situation in Myanmar

Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh and his Vietnamese counterpart have expressed support for the role and effort of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen to explore ways and means to address the situation in Myanmar by paying a visit to Myanmar on Jan 7-8.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Jan 11 that Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh highly valued and commended the effort of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen in playing a mediatory role and pushing the implementation of the Five-Point Consensus of ASEAN Leaders, especially on ensuring the cessation of violence in Myanmar as well as a swift provision of humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar, among others.
