Mandalay: Another Indian Air Force plane left today for Mandalay, in support of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar, with 16 tons of humanitarian aid, rice, and essential foodstuffs.

According to Lao News Agency, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyan Jaishankar stated on Platform X that an Indian Navy ship also set sail on Tuesday with 442 metric tons of food for the people of Myanmar. Jaishankar further mentioned that the Army's field hospital unit is already operational in Mandalay as part of the Brahma Operation. This operation was activated by India following the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that resulted in numerous casualties in its neighboring country.

Since the powerful quake, which also impacted Thailand and was felt in parts of India and China, the Indian government initiated a continuous delivery of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar to support rescue and recovery efforts. Military sources confirmed that on Saturday, two aircraft transported supplies, medicines, and survival equipment for the affected population. The delivery included 80 search and rescue team specialists, equipped with relief material and a canine squadron.

In addition to these efforts, a third shipment included a field hospital staffed by approximately 118 specialists, comprising doctors and nurses. The Indian Navy has committed four ships for the transport of support material and basic necessities; two arrived yesterday, and a third one sailed this Tuesday.
