Nusantara: The development of a dedicated government office zone in Indonesia's new capital city, Nusantara, located in the East Kalimantan province, is on track to be completed by June, as reported by the IKN Authority (OIKN). This ambitious project aims to establish a central hub for governmental operations in the newly planned city.
According to Lao News Agency, OIKN Secretary BimoAdiNursanthyasto stated that the area will encompass key governmental structures including palaces and the headquarters for various coordinating ministries, alongside the State Secretariat Ministry. The comprehensive development plan includes essential supporting facilities and infrastructure such as minimarkets, restaurants, ATMs, vending machines, and post offices to ensure the new office zone is fully functional.
Nursanthyasto further explained that the Indonesian government views these facilities as crucial, as they aim to transform Nusantara City into an integrated center for both administrative and economic activities. The development strategy prioritizes creating an environment where civil servants have seamless access to their workplaces, residential areas, transportation hubs, and other vital infrastructure.
The palace complex, which incorporates significant structures like the State Palace, Garuda Palace, Presidential Secretariat Office, and ceremony grounds, is already in operation and equipped with necessary supporting structures, Nursanthyasto confirmed.
